High oil pressure
Hey everyone, I've been reading old post over the oil pressure sender. In my 97 the oil pressure gauge is reading between 45-50 psi and 40 psi at idle. It usually ran 40 psi all the time until higher RPM's.
When I turn the car on, not turning it over I don't get an oil pressure reading so beyond the oil pressure sender does anyone have any ideas?
I also didn't have this problem until I just changed my oil.
Looking for possible ideas.

are you running the same filter as always? are you running the same oil (brand and SAE viscosity weight) as before.
Is the external temperature colder thean the usual temperatures?
All of the above can impact pressure.
