Default Quick brake question

Changing the pads on my 03 z06 right now. The gm pad kit came with clips that mount on the caliper and clips for the caliper mount. The car did not have the clip in the caliper-should I install the one from the kit. I have the service manual but it does not show anything--The directions in the box call it an anti rattle clip.

I just did mine. the clips were in mine and I replaced them with the new ones. I think it helps them stay in a little better also while the caliper is off.

Should be 3 clips for each caliper. Two go into the ends of the caliper and keep the pads from jamming in the caliper. The big clip goes between the two pistons and is an antirattle spring. You can get along without it but not the other two.
