I think it's about that time. If the Vette isn't a DD, and you have spare time, a cam-only upgrade won't cost you all that much. If you get a modest sized cam, you could probably go with a $150 mail-order tune that would work fine (maybe not get you to 100% full potential, but be safe to drive). I have little experience with engine work, and I did my head/cam swap with LS1howto.com's instructions, and it worked out fine (with a couple of minor hiccups). You could buy a $350 cam, some sub-$200 springs, and all the other goodies and a $150 mail order tune, and keep it fairly inexpensive. Other than that, I don't know where you can go for a cheaper power mod with your current setup.
You could install some 1.80 rockers--On a previous application I gained about 15 RWHP--cost ranges from $250 used to $550 new.
You should invest in your own tuner--changing mods your tune should be updated and tuned to be spot on---I'm sure there is some HP left behind there--EFILIVE avail now from Summit for $750--Not talking about a handheld here but a full blown tuner--Some others are avail from $450
lose some weight--- get rid of runflats if you have them--they are very heavy--any other way to reduce the wt. somehow
synthetic oil--everywhere--
