I'm not exactly pleased with the stock lights to say the least and I'm trying to find out the differences between these lighting systems. The Corvette Store has a set of Euro headlights with high wattage bulbs and all the harnesses for $250. It seems like a good deal to me but I'm also wondering about the HID lights in the group purchase section. It says the HIDs at 35 watts are equal to a 55 what halogen. The high watt bulbs that come with the $250 Euros are 90/135 watts. Would this be better than HIDs? I don't want to blind people or do any serious night racing so I don't want to drop $600-$800 on lights that aren't really much better than the $250 ones. I just want to see a little better at night. Are the HIDs hard to install? What would be the advantages of one over the other? Which ones would you go with and why? Thanks.
Dude, LAPD has the Euros headlamp, plug and play, and APC super whites 100/90 watts (upgraded) for $189.00 (Amercian dollars), all for next day air. :D
I will be installing them this Friday. I've been asking, and this appears to be a good combo (and good price). Look for my update...
Thanks DAP I can't believe I overlooked that. I'll be looking for your update.

I installed the Euro lights last week and I am very happy with them. I use the standard H4 lamps (55/60W) and they are an 100% improvement compaired to the US lamps. :yesnod:
Unless you enjoy the blue hue the HID's offer the best performing light system IMO are the euro's with high wattage bulbs and upgraded wiring harness regardless of price. You'll never outdrive the high beams at night. Trust me, it's like Yankee stadium when I flip the switch :)
Joe did you go with the APC Xenon Plasma bulbs that LAPD offers? Did you use the wire harness that came with the export lights? If not what would you recommend? Also how hard was the install? Thanks.
I ordered all my stuff (relays and bulbs and light adapter) through Daniel Stern lighting. You need high quality relays because if one fails you'll have no lights. Also the Narva 90/130 bulbs are some of the best in the industy.
I wired mine myself using 10G high strand wire (this is important) that run directly from the battery to the bulb. You never want to drop down the gauge anywhere in the system. Also I used shrink tubing and solder at every connection. It's really not that hard just time consuming. If you need any help just let me know.
I know the question was for Cruz but I couldn't help myself. I think he went with the Narva 90/130 bulbs. At least thats the way I read it. And if your want to e-mail me I will send you a web page that has good instructions for this. I can't get it to post on here.

Cruz-
You installed the Euro lights, the APC Xenon Plasma bulbs and then upgraded the wiring harness and relays?
