I have a manual transmission and I have noticed that when I am in a gear, any gear, and no throttle then I get a chattering/chipping noise. It is not very strong noise but clearly enough for me to hear it.
If I give it some gas or put the gear in neutral the noise goes away.
Could this be a sign that my clutch or transmission is about to go or do I just need to replace my transmission or diff fluid?
