Default Hvac Problem

OK so i replaced the dual zone climate conrtol unit (it was dim) and i was hoping my problem was an interface issue, but it wasnt. problem being, my heat and AC dont work. as in, the blower motors never kick on. I can hear the servos moving when i switch the "mode" from the top to the bottom vents, but when I hit "auto" the a/c button light flashes a few times and goes back off. i dotn think its a sensor problem because it accurately displays the outside temp and inside temps and when i get in the car on a warm day, the a/c tries to engage as displayed on the hvac controller but nothing happens. when i switch to full hot, the blower motors still dont come on and i get no heat (makes defrost very difficult hah). Im not throwing any codes in the BCM OR in the HVAC. or any codes for that matter.. any ideas on whats going on?? the warm weather is back and I NEED MY A/C!!!!

Does your system blower come on when the heat is on (i.e. does the fan blow).

If the fan works, check your A/C fuse. How old is your car ?

You may need to recharge your air system.

Did you check DTC for codes ?

checked for codes, there are no codes on the DIC. ill go outside and check with the car in the "on" position to see if the fan comes on.

no fans come on no matter what the temp setting is. i hear the servos move and actuators and i also think i can hear the clutch engage on the A/C compressor.. what gives!?! no blowers come on.

Try turning on your heat and make sure the A/C switch is off.

Turn the heat up to high and see if blower comes on, if that does not work, check fuses.

You need to hold down the AC Switch until it goes off.

Turn the heat up to the highest setting and see if blower comes on.

Try different blower settings (ie speed level andsee if it works) could be a lot of different things.

What year is your car ?

It sounds like some sort of electrical problem, I'm traveling and don't have access to service manual.

Try a PM to "Bill Curlee" he's had a lot of experience with the electrical systems and might be able to help you.

A friend of mine had those same symptoms and here he had a blown hose and had no freon... something to consider.

Jump out the motor in the engine compartment to see if it runs, if it does it is a problem with the car if it doesn't then the motor is bad.

I also noticed last night that if i have the heat full on hot and the button selected for "fresh air" to come in instead of recirculate, and the fan set on its LOWEST setting, I can feel HOT air coming in through the vents, but the car has to be moving 45 mph or more, so i think its just air pushing its way in, and its not alot at all, you have to have your hand up against the vent to feel anything.
