Default Spark Plug Boot Pliers

I am getting ready to swap plugs and wires on my 2001. Any idea which one of the boot pliers listed on this page may be the best pair to buy? Might take more than one pair?

Hands do work fine, but you should never miss the opportunity to buy another tool. I vote for the straight pull model.

Just did mine last weekend and replaced the wires and plugs. If you want to keep the original wire set your going to have to twist them a bit to loosen them up before pulling on them. If you resort to pulling the wire, it will pull out of the plug cover boot and leave it in place. I used channel lock type pliers to help out and did well. Have fun with the rear driver side, you will need a few different size extensions and a flex joint and a plug socket with a good rubber insert. Also don't forget anti-sieze on the new threads and dielectirc grease on the wire boots. All in all its not as bad as many cars today. My last car was a '96 Camaro, one of the worse plug jobs I ever did.
