I'm having a set of Nittos mounted up today. I have the Polished Wheels. I was contemplating using adhesive weights inside the wheel instead of the hammer-in type. Any thoughts?
I would only use the adhesive weights inside the wheel instead of the hammer-in type. Much cleaner. But make sure they can balance 100% this way. Sometimes it's very hard to balance with only the weights inside.
I have the adhesive weights on my chromes and have not had a problem.
You may hear from the tech that you don't want them for various reasons, but I believe that is only because it takes a little more time and effort to get them perfectly balanced.
The wheels look better without the external weights. :yesnod: :seeya

Re: Wheel Weights????? (Closer_2001)
I took off the factory outside weights about 9 months ago and went to the stick on weights. Do not regret it. Keeps the outside lip of the wheel clean and no scratches. I had mine balanced at a local Sears store and they did a very good job on the balance - no vibration.
Same here fellas. There was no way I was going to put those weights on the
outside of the rim. It's been 4-months since I put the 2000 wheels on. No wear on the tires. No shaky-shake when driving on the interstate.
