LS7 crank?
LS7 crank $780
Scat H beam 4340 6.125" rods $450
Diamond flattops $620
1.5/1.5/3mm rings $120
Melling oil pump $160
I have a 6.0 block at my disposal I can get prepped for $250.
Can the LS7 crank be used in place of an LS1 crank? Can you reverse the sensor wires or have the tone ring swapped? I have a couple new spare LS1 cranks.
Just curious. If this is true I could build a balanced 408 L92 with an L76 intake tuned for around $5500.
Also I was considering taking out some (I said SOME) of the material around the bellhousing area on the block on the flats between the bolt holes. Kind of like they do in racing, without messing with the mating surface, to cut out maybe 10 pounds off the LQ9...thoughts?
Just thinking. I've been planning on doing a fresh H/C 346, this just popped in my head. Got my curious why nobody has ever done it.
