Default AC is hot

I FINALLY got my first Corvette on 4/14!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does the euphoria ever go away?? It's perfect, except that it's an automatic. Guess after waiting so long with NO vette, waiting for a stickshift while driving an automatic will be just FINE.

Anyway, the AC is hot. The dealer "fixed" it by "adding freon" - which seemed to work - and they also said they checked for leaks by running dye through the system. No leaks, they said, yet a week later when I tried using the AC again, it was hot. Sounds to me like there is a leak. No chance I could just disconnect the battery like it fixes some of those other A/C problems is there? What do you think the problem is?

Thanks, and I'm really glad to finally be among you vette owners.
