remote door locks does'nt work. please help!!!
My remote button does not work. The battery is new. Is there a way to program it to the computer?? It would help me out please.

Yes, you do have to do a quick procedure in order to get the remote to work. I can't remember exactly what it is, but I know it is in the manual.
I believe you hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for about 7 seconds until the lights flash......or something like that :confused: Wish I could remember for sure. Good luck.

Turn the ignition to ON.
Turn the radio to OFF.
Press the RESET button in order to clear any IPC warning messages.
Press and release the OPTIONS button on the DIC to scroll through the display options until the IPC display is blank.
Press and hold the RESET button for 3 seconds.
Press the OPTIONS button until FOB TRAINING message is displayed.
Press the RESET button in order to begin the programming sequence. The message HOLD LK + UNLK 1ST FOB will be displayed.
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first transmitter for 15 seconds. The IPC will indicate when that transmitter is programmed and when to proceed to the next. Repeat this procedure for each additional transmitter or press the OPTIONS button to exit.

If for some reason you disconnect the battery in your car, it will lose the programming for your keyless entry remote.
A real simple way to reprogram is to just pull the negative battery cable off your battery for a moment, then put it back on and hold the top two buttons on the FOB for about 5-10 seconds and the horn will honk. This means the FOB is now programmed. This usually happens to me everytime I take my car somewhere to get something done to it and they unhook the battery.
