Default Donaldson questions

I am considering putting a Donaldson on my car. It is not a daily driver and I do not take it to the track. This would be my first performace mod (I still have stock exhaust). Will I notice a difference on the street? Or am I better off putting the money towards something else? Opinions please.
Thanks,
Scott

I like mine. Sounds a little different, feels a little different and looks a whole lot better. Cheap, easy and you'll never have to replace a filter again.

Given that you do not plan to take it to the track, I'd suggest that you put the $250 or so towards an upgrade you'd actually use. Exhaust was my first upgrade...plenty of cosmetic things you can do to your car.

Get the Blackwing especially since it's on sale for $215.00. The stock airbox is very restrictive.

If you are happy with the sound of the stock exhaust, and there are not apperance mods you want now, then I would get the Blackwing.

My car does not go to the track, but with the Blackwing it is more enjoyable in the 3K-5K RPM range and sometimes even beyond.

My first purchase was an exhaust, then a few apperarance mods, lowering CAGS, etc., then the Blackwing. You will enjoy whatever you get for your Vette! :yesnod: :chevy :flag :chevy :flag

I like mine. You'll notice a difference as well. Kind of like a difference on a hot, muggy afternoon vs. a cool, crisp morning.

If you're doing mods, think Corsa exhaust and Blackwing!

I installed one, maybe its just my imagination but it feels different. I will know when I dyno it again next month. A lot of filter surface. GM's idea for more filter surface was to open the Z06's air box more.....get the point.

Me, too...:)

The Donaldson is a great mod. You will feel the difference. Also, if you decide you want a cold air setup you can easily upgrade to it with the cover that they sell. I had one on my car in the past and it worked great.
