c5 engine management replacement.
Have a 1999 covert. 6 spd.c5 in South Australia.(Try finding someone here who knows c5's ).Had ongoing problems with idle bad running etc. etc. Fitted a procharger ,mechanical throttle body and at the same time a Haltech engine management system. Lost cruise and traction control as a consequence which I am not concerned about because the car runs perfectly and goes exteremely hard. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!! IS THERE ANY WAY OF STOPPING MESSAGES FROM DASH DISPLAY( THE THING IS GOING NUTS) OR DO I JUST LIVE WITH IT. I can disconnect the buzzer and remove the warning lamp globes engine , traction etc. but is there a way to interupt or stop messages ?? Is there a way to keep instruments but stop messaging ??
Thanks from down under

The stock PCM is perfectly capable of running that engine with the supercharger, I would suggest returning the elctronics and the throttlebody back to stock to eliminate your messages.

On the other hand, if you want to get rid of ALL the DIC messages that is pretty easy also. You should be able to simply disable it in the IPC with a little soldering. At worst simply remove the VFD and you will never see a message again!
Or like said above, take the IPC apart and put a piece of black vinyl over the VFD and you will never seen any messages again!

Is things like your odometer working correctly now? Oil pressure gauge working? Exactly which messages are you getting?
original engine management pcm is still in vehicle . ALL gauges and odometer work SO I am back to original fix.I disconnected buzzer and removed traction and engine lights .I can live with error messages.
Car does run better than ever and cable throttle body is giving better response.Injector control is superior with Haltech engine management and MAF has been removed .MAF LESS tune gives more HP.
