You can also get manuals on DVD from various sources. I got mine from a person on this forum for $25 and it covers every GM vehicle from 97 through 05. Same as the printed manuals but a lot easier to search through. The printed manuals are 1400 pages for each year. They were designed to be used on the computer so it is sometimes hard to find something without going through a lot of the 1400 pages which is what makes the computer search and the hot links in the DVD version so nice. For example the C5 has an On Board Diagnostic system that can be accessed through the DIC.

Even at $100+, I find the paper service manual to be worth
every penny. It's a lot more convenient to have in the garage
than a laptop.

Hard Copy is the way to go!
I agree, the printed versions are the way to go. My 2000 set is three seperate books.
Well worth the money. I use it all the time.

Check ebay for manual-3 per year with GM editions. I bought mine for 45.00 and they looked new but were used.
