Default Getting DTC PO1638 "CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT" error

I am getting Getting DTC P1638 (Generator F-Terminal Circuit) "CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT" error...

...but only when I rev the engine high, 3500rpm or higher... Then it goes away when rpms come back down...

Any Ideas
???

Swagger #1. It could be a number of things. It sets the code if the PCM sees generator duty cycle less than 5% or at 100%. Could be problems with the generator, regulator, battery or PCM connections to name a few. I guess a start would be to check your battery connections and the condition of your drive belt since this happens when you rev the engine.

OK... I took the battery and alternator and had them tested... Both are working correctly, so battery, alternator/voltage regulator are off the table. I guess tomorrow I pull both connections to the PCM and see if there is any corrosion...

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated...

The following link is a copy of the 1638 troubleshooting section right out of the manual. It may offer some clues.
http://www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic10124.php

This link is for the 1637 which can happen in conjunction with the 1638

check your grounds, after that, since batt and alt. are good, check your belt, if it could use a replace ment, I highly recommend the goodyear gatorbacks. after that, i can only imagine it being the PCM.

If it`s coming back to normal after You rev it at all times it`s probably tensioner or alernator pulley.

If it`s not then check voltage regualtor. I had the same thing not long ago
