Default Speedometer Problems

Not too long ago I was trying to troubleshoot why my speedometer and HUD works but shows 0mph all the time. I even broke down and bought a new VSS and changed it and still have no Speedometer operation. I did notice the VSS wires, one is Purple and the other is yellow. I am trying to trace them down under the battery and there are several connectors with colored tape on them. can anyone steer me in the right direction for my next troubleshooting period. Here is what is going on. My reverse lockout is not working (meaning it can be thrown in reverse while moving forward, It dies sometime when i am engauging the clutch when i am coming to a stop, the speedometer boots up but goes back to 0 and stays. the HUD shows 0 all the time but the hud tachometer works along with the guagepanel Techometer and all the different things on the HUD Oil pressure, Temperture, Fuel level all work. I am getting more active handling codes jump up at me when i hit a bump.

Here is the CLUE. I replcaed a vaccuum line that goes to my ac ducts and that is all around the firewall behind the the air intake and the other end of the vaccuum line is under the battery

Can anyone help

is there anywires behind the intake manifold that would hsvr to do with the speedometer?
