Default Lowering Questions..

Looking to lower my car 1.5" all the way around. Can I do this with stock bolts? If not who do you recommend buying them from? Who can do the lowering..myslef, local dealer or brake shops? Do i have to get my car realigned afterward? how much more handeling ie. G's can I gain by lowering alone? All responses are welcome. :yesnod:

I lowered my car almost 2 inches all the way around with the stock bolts. I did it myself, and it is very easy with the instructions above.........and once you know how to do it, you can go in and make adjustments very quickly. I would definitely get it aligned after lowering. Good luck.

Nitro-C5 turning the bolts will get you there on your 98 :yesnod: On the new Z51 and Z06 it takes changing the rear bolts and cutting the bushings or removing the front bolts.

Thanks for the input guys, but just a few more questions. If I can lower up to 2" with the stock bolts why is everyone selling lowering kits? Is there an advantage to these kits over just using the stock bolts? Once agian is this a purely cosmestic thing (which by the way I think it definately does look better) or can I gain signifigant lateral G increase?
