Default PRT Problem

I have a problem with my PRTs. I went to the performance muffler shop that I have install all my exhaust systems today to have them install my PRTs. And the mechanic that I have do all my exhaust work removed my factory mufflers and went to install the over the axle pipes and the drivers side over the axle pipe would not bolt up correctly. When he bolted the pipe to the flange it was hitting the transmission and axle. If he made the pipe clear the axle and transmission then the flange had a huge gap and would not bolt up to the factory H-Pipe.

We checked to make sure we were using the correct pipe since they are marked with a "D" and a "P" and we were using the correct pipe.

Upon further inspection it seems to us that even though the pipes are marked "D" and "P" that they were exactly the same. If you hold them next to each other you can see from any angle that the pipes are welded at the same angles and that neither pipe will fit on the drivers side.

Our only explanation is that my kit must have been miss marked and I must have received two passenger side over the axle pipes.

So we re-installed my factory system and I have the PRTs in the box. I was really hoping to get then installed today.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi ViViD
This sounds like a warranty issue to me. They might have mixed up the "d" and "p" on this set. Contact B&B, or the place who sold em to you. They should replace the system without any problems. Good luck.

Mike,

I got your email stating the above and returned it a couple of hours ago.

We will get it rectified Monday with B and B without a doubt.

Thanks RG,

I wasn't too worried about it not getting corrected. I knew you would help and I knew B&B would stand behind their product.

I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else or if it was just a rare case of my unfortunate luck.

I appreciate the help.

Later,
Mike :) :flag

When my B&B triflow PRTs arrived the u-bolt kit was missing. I called B&B and they offered to send the pieces/parts to me but I wanted to get them installed that day. So I went to Discount Auto Parts and bought some cheap u-bolts. BIG MISTAKE. My B&B system is still pretty and shiney after 1 year but my u-bolts are rusted... :(
