Removing screen from MAF

Removing screen from MAF
Please Is there really any benefit in removing the screen from the MAF? I have a 99FRC with a P&P TB LS6 intake Bossani Long tubes X pipe & VaraRam intake. Thanks for the help.

Unless you plan to have the car on a dyno and professionally tuned, I'd leave it in. I took mine out and noticed no difference. I've never heard of anyone benifiting. Only regrets or no change in performance.
