C5 Tire Pressure Monitors

I replaced my factory wheels with a set of aftermarket wheels. The wheels were "thick" enough that the factory monitors did not fit. The shop that did the work substituted monitors from a new Tahoe because the valve was long enough to extend through the new wheels. The car is recognizing the sensors but only reporting half the actual tire pressure. Any thoughts? Has anyone had this problem? Can you simply turn this functionality off in the computer so the car is not looking for the monitors? Any help would be appreciated.

I guess we now know Tahoe sensors will not work! Don't know what year you have, but on 2001 and up it can be programed out.

I have a 2001. Can it be programmed out with the Tech 2?
