Yes & Yes...but, be ready to tune-out or install simulators for the rear 02's....as you will most likely throw 02 codes resulting in a Check Engine Light, due to this increased exhaust flow.

Was tempted to buy these but ended up with the Thundebolt Hi-flow metal cats from E B-Y--about the same price and design work very well but makes it quite louder--I don't mind though--
Not sure but I dont think would think they would be the cheaper of the 2. Whats the difference, more flow??
The ceramic 2 1/2 " cats are $36.99 each & the metal 2 1/2" cats are $55.00 ea.--they are both the bullet type and case is made in stainless steel---3" price is the same---- site is http://performance-curve.com

Metal Matrix is less likely to get blown out with a supercharger or melted by turbo's.
Do a search on cats disintegrating... If it weren't for this happening on completely stock setups, maybe. For the price difference, if I were you, I'd do metal.

Metal cats are supposed to heat up quicker-so they can be smaller in size that is why they flow better --On my metal cats the body is about 11" long but the actual metal honycomb material inside is only about 3" thick
The metal cats don't come with an 02 bung--just ceramic
that part # for 3" is 425300
The # for the metal 3" is 415300
go to their website and type in the # in the search box

So the METAL cats DO flow better than the cermaic right? What do you reccomend? I dont plan or supercharging it but do planon heads and a cam down the road...

Metal is better--would rec. those---the others will work but won't last as long--they have the 02 bung you were looking for--but if that isn't a big deal--then get the metal ones then

Cool, metal ones it is then, I will have my local welder weld in the bungs for me
bringing this thread back to life, because I'm wanting to replace my stock cats. (110miles on them) I don't have the $$$ for headers at the moment. I have a 97 coupe and I can't remember what size I'll need. Is mine a 2.5" or should I go 3"?
Those who've had them installed, how much did the metal versions cost to throw on?
