well boy's i finally broke down and bought rim's.i got the 06 z06 replicia's for my 04 c-5 and put my stock rf's on. new rim's are 17" and 18" and there both 9.5"'...can you see the problem allready.the back's are fine but the front 245/45/17 fit but dont look right.they say in spec will work but there not cutting it.so since i cant get a wider set for the front to match the rear,all new tire's.my question's are,if i have 9.5"rim's,what rim width range should i shoot for.example< 255/40/17 @ 8.5-10,or275/40/17 @ 9-11 for the front's and rear's are 275/35 or 275/40/18 @ 9-11 or 285/35/18 @ 9.5-11.these are in the gs-d3's.thank;s for all your help guy's and im ordering what everybody agree's on most.also will consider other brand's other then goodyear...thank's....al.
You'll really like the bite of a 275 on the front. Totally changes
the car.
Only thing you need to watch for it to keep the rears a larger
*diameter* than the front so that the active handling computer
doesn't get its panties in a wad.
275/40-17 front and 285/35-18 rear should do very nicely.
I ran Kumho MXs for a while and I was really impressed for the money.
Of course, I haven't run the GS-DSs, so if those work for you, there
