Euro Headlight Report Card...
Went out for a cruise down to Kilroys in Woodbridge VA for a diet beer. It's about a 40 mile loop, round trip. I played with the fogs, and was comfortable driving without them (never felt that with the factory headlights).
You really don't notice how much better they are until there is very little light around you, and then they give everything a nice white glow. You won't confuse 'em for those $1000 euro lights, but they try real hard :D
Now this may sound weird, but lets face it-your lights are most important when there are no other sources to help you find your way in the night (streetlights, other cars, police lights... :nono: umm... I mean you know what I mean...)
You really don't notice how good they work-especially when other "yellow" lights wash them out.
The biggest advantage? High beams. These were the most obvious advantage (even with yellow lights around). I do need them set up properly, as the right is a little off I think.
Anyone able to direct me? Daniel Stern (a link) doesn't go into as much detail as I like...
Oh, in case your wondering, IMHO these are a "must" have. They are also a vendor special this month. If you live in the VA area, and want to see them in person, I'll be at the Skyline Drive run next Saturday.
Did you try Daniel Stern's site ? http://lighting©mbz©org/ © If you can't find what you need there, using his Euro lighting adjustment diagram, email me an I can send you to some other "non-approved" sites© The toughest part is setting the height just right© I used a metric socket that fit over the adjuster, but I am probably going to break down and buy one of the specially configured adjustment tools

The T84 Euro headlights don't have the little glass bead that the dealerships aiming device indexes on so you have to aim and use a mark on the wall© In addition the drivers side light has a focal plane cutoff that precludes you blinding the oncoming cars while the passenger side actually will spread out wider and higher to pick up things like deer trying to cross the freeway when you're doing those 100mph+ runs :D The directions at the Daniel Stern site and in the service manuals actually gives you a formula and diagrams for aiming your lights at the wall© So even though they look perfect when you are guesstimating, they could be off©
