hey guys ,so im going to a car show away from home and get within 5 miles and my car starts missing really bad .i mean like running on 4 cylinders .well i manage to get to a garage and a guy hooks up a scanner and it says no7 cylinder has over 2k misfires others range from 50 to 1500 misfires .i first thought it ran like it was a plugged gas filter ,but it sounds like its popping like a broken coil pack .its loud enough u can here it with the hood down but u cant see it in the dark.anyway im now looking for a wrecker and a good shop .just wondering if u guys ever heard of something like this .thanks for reading this.

Is it misfiring on one side? My 99 did this and it turned out to be the relay center in front of the battery. There are two relays that control the coil circuits and the battery fumes caused corrosion to the terminals. I would look for a bad connection in that box.It cost me over a thousnd dollars in tech time, numerous aaa tows and three sets of H pipes and a set of mufflers.I hope this helps as It was very frustrating to find. By the way the replacement stock mufflers were given to me by one of our members Burble flyer. Many thanks to him.
