I went out this morning to start my car up and go to work,, heres what happened,, I changed my oil last week and forgot to reset the DIC oil reminder, so I turn the key to on and stepped on the pedal 3 times, I thought that I would get a feedback that it had been reset,,, so I turned off the key and turned it back on again and stepped on the pedal 3 times, I did the series 3 times,, then I decided that I would not get the feedback showing it had been reset,, so I went to crank the car,, and nothing.. I tried several times and nothing, the radio played dash lights ok,, but when I turn to start the radio went off and dash lights went off,, my question is did I engage the anti theft system by repeating the oil reset that many times? (it did start about 5-10 mins later and seems to be ok at this time)..

Usually when all your lights/electrical goes on ignition it's because of a battery connection. If the battery cable is not completely tight the surge of current to the starter will result in an open circuit at the poor contact point causing all your electrical to go off. It usually resets itself after a few minutes because the battery contact is enough for low power items.
Go to your battery and loosen/retighten the cables. Also if it's an original Delco battery check the side posts for leaking as it may indicate the post is cracked inside the housing which would also cause your problem. If that doesn't fix the problem then some more troubleshooting is needed.
The oil reset is probably a coincidence. Turn the key to ON with the ignition OFF and go to the end of the TRIP menu on the DIC for Oil Life and reset it by holding the RESET button. That's an easier way to confirm that it's been reset.
