Bob, I've also used Marvel in all my cars since my original car, a POS MGB. But, for some reason, I think the Z06 is a more sophisticated car than all my others, and I therefore heeded GM when they say, "no additives need be used." But, really, it's just a car, right? And lubrication in the gas and fuel injector cleaner would still help any car. So, finally, at 48K, I spent today I finally added some additives: Sea Foam and Techron. I don't think I'm willing to move into Marvel Mystery Oil, though. I'm still under an extended warranty.

Has anyone tried the Professional decarb system by Chemtool B-12 ? Do a search on it in google, if you don't know about it...

I've used SEAFOAM in nearly every motored piece of equipment I own and like the results. The MARVEL trick is even used on recip aircraft engines but another cheap and easy top clean-out trick is a windex type spray bottle filled with water. Crank the idle up to @2k and spray away into the intake. I've never tried it on the Vette but its a steam clean-out that works in all carburated engines as well as JET engines too. Its called a "water wash" there tho.

I'm not sure what the "system" is, but I've put a can of Chemtool B-12 into a lot of my cars in the past. I like it better than fuel injector cleaners because it's supposed to do about the same thing, and it's cheaper.

In fact, I had one still on my shelf when I bought the SeaFoam, and decided to see if it's similar in composition (I wouldn't have shot B-12 into my PVC intake anyway, but just curious about it). Overnight, I soaked a 1" piece of the fuel line I bought (to put Sea Foam into the intake while I was in the driver's seat per another great post in here). The B-12 soak made the fuel line swell, but the Sea Foam didn't.
