Default P0562 Code System Low Voltage

Got a CEL on my 02 coupe after finding the battery didn't have enough juice to turn anything on much less start the engine.

What voltage value will cause the system to set a P0562 code?? Checked the battery and got about 9.3v at the terminals. The battery is less than a year old and I drove the car last week with no problems.

I would chrge the battery fully overnight but 1st disconnect both battery cables--Then take it it to Kragens or somewhere and have them load test it---If the batery tests out fine then you probably have something stuck on that is draining the battery---There are a few common things to look for-1 that I remember right off is the drivers side electric seat get stuck on all the time--(very common) and will drain the battery overnite---then there are the usual things like dome lights--glove box light--engine compartment light--

I cleared the PCM code but the seat motor codes show up as history but nothing current (no C after the code. There are some other codes that point to low voltage. The P0562 has not come back.

All of the interior lights and the hood light goes out as they should. The visor lights are out as is the console/glove box light.

The battery didn't seem to take a charge last nite. Although I only have a small charger, the battery showed 13.7v after removing the charger. 3 hours later it was at 12.8v and this morning it was 10.7v.

Alternator output is around 14.3 to 14.5v when I first start the car (voltmeter at the battery and not the DIC data display) and will drop to around 13.9 to 14.1v after the car runs for a minute. That should be normal. Voltage drops to around 13.7 with the headlamps, A/C, radio, door open but it picks right back up to around 14 with off-idle engine speed.

The battery is an AC Delco Professional series 75-7YR and it's 1 year old so I'm taking it back to the shop this morning for a load test. If it fails, I'll get a new one.

I'll reset all of the existing history codes once I get back home with the new battery.
