2000 Headlight question
I just purchased a 2000 Corvette and there is an issue with the front driver head light. This is my first C5 and I have owned 5 C4 vettes. It will not go up, it is limp. I tried turning the plastic dial but it wont do anything. You can lift it up the light is on but that is it. So I am unsure what the problem may be

Classic example. Stripped Actuator gear (plastic). Do a search for Rodney Dickman. He sells a DIY kit to replace the weak factory plastic gear with a brass gear. It sounds like a tough job but it isn't. His step by step instructions are very good. The kit costs $43 +shipping. It will do either side. If you (and I recommend you do) want to do both sides you need 2 kits. After performing this "mod" you will probably never have this issue again. It's worth the effort.
