fog light question
Is there a way to get the foglights to turn on without having the parking lights on? I'd like to be able to turn just my foglights on by themselves. Can I just run a power wire straight to the factory foglight switch?

I don't have the solution and I understand your concern. But I think what is important is to be able to turn on the fog lights without having the pop up lights on and this is what the C5 is able to do.
Personally, I found it very nice to drive at the beginning of the evening with fog lights and parking lights and you know in Europe all US car owners want tho see the amber parking lights on because, for us, this is the "trademark" of the US cars.
I remember some years ago that was forbiden to have amber parking lights in my country so we were "outlaws" with them and of course we put them on..., but now it's authorized like. Same story with the third brakes light.
In my opinion keep it like this. And if you really want to turn off parking lights and nobody could give you a solution maybe you have to think about a black out kit for the parking lights (which will reduce the shine) or switch them with a diamond parking light.
