Couldn't find the answer easily in a search, so will ask outright.
I'm going to order a Column Lock Bypass kit and was wondering once it's installed if it can be removed and the column lock put back to stock form if desired? I know ... why would someone do that?
Is it as simple as removing the CLB and plugging the column lock back into it’s harness while the car is off and key out of the ignition?
Yes, you can remove the CLB and just plug the harness back into your steering wheel lock. I'm not sure what status that will leave your column lock in, nor what it will do when you turn the key again.
There's a sticky at the top of the page that has LOTS of information. Don't hesitate to ask if you have a question.
already did this on mine, and my buddy is now wishing he had done his (since his car is stranded with a locked steering wheel). if you want a hand with the install or have questions feel free to ask or even swing by, looks like we are going to have a few cars at my place tomorrow all getting work done...
