Default comp mode persistance device

I read about it on here several days ago. There is a product out there which can make your C5 remember if it was in comp mode or if the TC/active handling is off. When you restart the car it would put it back where it was last time you shut it down. it was $99, can someone provide me a link? I can't find that thread I read earlier. Does anyone have one of these installed? What do you think of it?

I'm not to good about the links, but go to ATI Performance Engineering. It's called a Tracmem(165-0004).

It would be great to stay in COMPETITION MODE, while still being able to receive information in the DIC. Any device that does that?

Yeah, hit reset after competition mode and then select anything you want on the DIC

Cool. I didn't know you remain in COMP mode after hitting the Reset button. Good info. Thanks.

by reading the description on the laptrax product you can wire it in so that it will press the reset button for you even. start the car and go into comp mode, it says so on the DIC for a few seconds then automatically clears itself. seems like a pretty cool product.

looks like you have to program it to say what mode you want to be in (all on, comp mode, or TC/active handling off) and it will go there when you start the car. I kinda wish it would just keep track of whatever mode you are in and automatically put you back into the last mode when you restart. but at least it looks pretty simple to program.

looks like the ATI product does remember your last setting even, but it doesn't appear to have the feature to automatically clear the comp mode message from the DIC display...interesting.

Laptrax does work great. I have had one installed for a few years now. Never a problem with it. When I purchased mine they had two models. I have the deluxe version that clears the messages from the DIC so it doesn't always say "COMPETITION MODE" when driving. You can have the car start in any mode you chose. It's easy to program and you can return to the factory default setting at anytime by simply pressing the TC/Active handling button on the console.
