I know I need a Fuel Filter disconnect tool, but how much fuel will spray out if you don't bleed the pressure; and what is involved in "bleeding the pressure"?
I almost always wear protective gear for this type operation, so some is acceptable.
How did you pay for the filter, and where did you purchase?

You can get a disconnect tool at the auto parts store. Its actually a sleeve looking thing. You slide the sleeve into the fitting. By doing that, it pushes the locking stubs outward and then pull the line, it comes right out. I got a plastic one for $1 and it has different sizes.
If you can change the filter after the car has sat for an extended amount of time (overnight) there will be less pressure. Wear glasses no matter what and keep your face to the side :D Its not a big deal, I did it without bleeding off the pressure since the car sat overnight.
I ordered a filter from the parts store as well. Its a WIX brand, which is one of the best filter companies. Its a dana product.
