If you lived in Houston, TX where it gets very hot in the summer and you were looking to buy a c5 vette, what would you do? Coupe or Z06, and what would you do to still make it quicker than most vettes on the street, but not having to worry about if it is going to over heat? I am wanting to buy a vette with mods already done, but I am not sure what to look for. I will be driving this car maybe 2 or 3 times a week and it won't be over 100 miles. 100 miles would be a very rare occasion.
Depends completely on your long term goals. If you want simply throw headers and a cam at it and not much else, then my suggestion is the Z06. If you are planning to mod it to the hilt then I would suggest you buy a Z51 coupe and take the extra $$ saved to buy mods.
Man from your sig it appears that you alreaday have a vert, even in hot condition dont you enjoy the open air thing...get a gear a torque and a tune or a hand held programer IE: a Diablo,... you will be so fast compared to stock and these modes wont thake you to the poor house, You will get many recomendations so you will have to decide... what is best for you , this is my 2 penny and as you know half the fun is gething there....
lol. Thanks Dave. I had to sell the vert because of work, but now it is getting time to buy another vett. I wasn't to happy with the vert because it was super loud on the inside. I think I am wanting to go with another automatic, so the z is out of the picture.
