OK I know I MUST BE BLIND ! I can't seem to locate it on the Firewall.I want to change it out because I don't think it's blowing like it should on High setting ( non- climate control) and I just had the a/c system completly changed out. It doesn't come out of the vents with much force and cools the interior but the thermometer I put in the vents registers 50 degrees !
-your temp flaps inside may not be totally diverting cold air and thus adding heated air. I am not sure of the vacuum tubes that control it. also there was a post on some internal gears to be replaced. I did not have this problem so I don't have the thread.
or
The problem I had:
-your blower diverter is not opening and thus not allowing the air to blow through the duct system. There are some vac tubes in the engine compartment under the battery that the old batteries leaked on and burnt through, thus no vac pressure to activate the system to open. I had to splice the bad section of tube out and now I get a great volume of cold air at all sections.
the blower is in the passengers leg compartment up in the dash. pull the panels off and look up.
Problem solved, found that the vacum line had came off at the T connector behind the intake thus their was NO vacume to make the deflector operate. Thanks for your help !
