Default Tire sensors

I have had the chrome ones with my sensors since I purchased the Corvette December 2004. the sensors work fine the chrome caps, they are the hexagonal ones. I heard some one on some thread here that the chrome caps even improve the "reception" of the sensors. I think that is a stretch as the power level is so low in the first place. Good Luck with the new chrome caps Dan

The car came from the factory with metal caps. The metal caps acts like antennas to help in the transmission of the sensors. Metal is the way to go.

but the factory ones are aluminum. The tire guy I talked to said to avoid the nickel plate caps I had for a while, but I didn't see any difference. I'm running the chromed plastic ones with the C5 logo from WCC at this point.
