Really, this is not my idea
Friend of mine just bought a nice low mileage 2000 C-5 convertible and for what are complicated reasons wants to install some form of Cherry Bomb Glasspack mufflers. Does anyone know what model might fit? (There’s over 20; maybe none would work – they’re long.) Or if there’s something better? Or if this is a really bad idea? thx.

I don't think any of them would work; the straight part of the pipes is too tight to the bottom of the car to fit.
Those "complicated reasons" better come with a fair amount of money before I'd even try to make it work.

What is he thinking? Do a search here on exhaust systems. There are many good systems out there. If he wants something loud , go with SLP loudmouths, or Borla Stingers, or GHL's, or BB Bullets, or get a ZO6 exhaust with the electric cutouts. Thrush and Cherry Bomb mufflers went out with "pegged pants", Beatle boots, and Brylcream by the pound in your hair. Actually, bell bottoms were around for the VW buses with flowers painted on them.

Probably wants Cherry Bombs because he had 'em on his '65 Chevy small block and liked the sound. Problem is the firing order has changed on the LS engines so it won't happen even if you could make 'em fit.
