Headlight problem
Hi all need help on a headlamp problem. Twilight cannot be turned off on my car so when i start it up in the garage only passanger lamp comes up. Both lights are on. Turning lights on manually at this point does nothing. Twilight goes off and then when light turned on manually both come up. They work repetedly. I have turned the **** all the way out on the lamp that gets stuck down with no effect. When the light is down there is no way to get it to come up during the night. During the day you can manually turn them on once the twlight has shut them back down. Any help on where to start would be helpful.

Why can twilight not be turned off?
You could have it flashed out of the computer...

If it was a Canadian car then option Z49 was activated on the car's computer. A shop with a Tech 2 can disable this option so that you have control over the Twilight Sentinal option and hence the headlights.
I don't know why only one light is coming up.

I had a similar problem on my 2001 but both lights stayed down. I had to turn off the twilight sentinel and then when I turned the lights back on they would work fine. It didn't matter how I turned them back on (switch or TS.) Mine was under warranty at the time so I took it to the dealer, after three or four failed attempts, they worked on it for four days and finally got it fixed. All they would tell me was that it was a connection that needed to be cleaned. They wouldn't tell me which one it was but I am convinced it was a bad ground. That was over 2 years ago and the problem has not returned.
