Ive got a 98 m6
Never did the clb but did have the recall down about 1 year ago. I can turn the wheel with the key out.
Im not getting anywhere with the sticky thread because theres so much info in there I get confused. WTF do i do>?
Can i just buy the CLB and install it and be doen with it.
IVe been gettin g the pull key wait 10 seconds message for around a ytear no just about every time i drive it. I just turn the key off and then back on and it works fine. now im getting the same message except when i turn it off I am getting the service column lock message. I pulled fuses 25 and 23 in the passenger footwell and im chargin the battery now
Any other suggestions?

Ok guys got it fixed maybe. I read on lls1howto.com where the k harness was and removed it. I plugged my cl back in and everything works fine now with no codes. Im pretty sure my locking plate was removed because I hear the lock going on and off when i start the car but i can always turn the wheel. SO am i fixed?

Glad you got it working but I would still be nervous. I am far from an expert, in fact I just installed my CLB today. I would contact Corvettes of Houston, they'll answer your questions. If they say it's not too late to add the CLB then I recommend that you install it because if for any reason that locking pin decides to stop working you'll be screwed again. Just my .02, good luck.
