Help with crank bolt removal

Default Help with crank bolt removal

any tips. i have a 600 ft lb impact that wont budge the bolt and ive been after it with a 4 ft cheater bar. any tips would help my forearms feel like they are going to blow up.

I've never removed one. However is this a reverse thread bolt? David

it is not a rev/lefthand thread bolt

your impact may be a bit tired, try a few drops of oil in the air fitting and make sure your pressure is up on the compressor

As Steve said it is not a Rev/Bolt but you do need to take a small torch and heat the bolt head up pretty good to melt the lock tight and it should come right out. Dont ask how I know this

looks like heat will be next. i've got ps. fluid on some things so ill have to do alot of cleaning first.
