Default Winter Storage Question

Well its almost that time... I plan to store my 2000 HT in a friends garage for 3 => 4 months. A friend of mine who is pretty much a Vette Guru said all I need to do is disconnect the battery and maybe add a few extra #'s in the tires. This is the first time ever I'll be storing a car for the winter. Can anyone provide additional tips or is there anything else I need to do? I need to make sure I do everything right... I appreciate all responses..
Thanks...
Jeff........

You don't want to disconnect a C-5 battery. Spend $30 and buy a "Battery Tender" keeps all the info and works great. I have had no problems in 4 years. I was also told by Goodyear that if you have the runflats you don't need to add air. The sidewalls are stiff enough. Add some gas protector, change your oil and you are ready to park. I also start and let run for 5 to 10 minutes once a month. You are making a big mistake parking it at a friends as you will miss the enjoyment of uncovering and just staring at it.

1. Change oil
2. Sta-Bil in gas
3. Increase air in tires
4. Wash, polish, cover
5. Battery tender
6. Dryer sheets in exhaust to deter critters

I've never had a problem disconnecting the battery. Just be sure you know the security code for the radio.
