Quick question, whenever i am at a stoplight or stop for some other reason, and have the car in 1st while holding in the clutch, if i seems to disengage/release the clutch while starting to move, (if my hand isnt on the stick to hold it in place, not hard but a little weight or pressure) It will 50% of the time pop out of gear and grind a bit... Not only is this bad on the clutch, it makes me look like an newbie / idiot to everyone around who hears the grind? Is this common or anyone else ever notice this?
Would love to hear any thoughts.
Secondly, I am familiar with the acronym CAGS, but not understanding it fully, can someone BRIEFLY explain its purpose?

Computer aided gear selection. Under certain throttle conditions, it will active a bypass that will lock out 2nd gear so the gear shift will go directly into 4th. Apparently it helped GM with corporate fuel economy averages
It is easily bypassed with an electrical plug on the side of the trans. Cost is around $20 for the part.
