Cruising at 120mph?
I just purchased my second Vette. 98 Torch Red that looks brand spankin new. It has 46000 miles on it. My wife was driving on the interstate today and called to say she was going 120mph and being passed like she was setting still. Actually, the speedometer was stuck. I told her when she could to pull over and stop and restart the engine. It did unstick but now I'm wondering if this is an ongoing problem. Anyone hear of this happening?

It was in MPH. It actually stuck there unitl she shut off the engine. I told her the gauge always pegs out when you first start the car and it probably didn't go all the way back down and she just didn't notice.

My 14 year old son told on me for driving 120 mph with him ( just for a short blast) My wife was pissed at me. I told her the speedometer was broke. Of course she didn't beleive me so I had her take the Vette for a ride, (with the speedometer switched to kmph) and she never knew. Saved my AZZ

After talking with her last night I am convinced that it was indeed KPH. She said she just filled up was trying to reset all the fuel info and then put the cruise on. I'm sure she hit the wrong button. And I assume that after she turned the car off it went back to the memory setting. Sorry for the confusion.
