Just a quick question. I just recently installed a used Z06 Ti exhaust on my 2K C5. Once on the car I kept the 4 flange bolts slightly loose, I pushed or pulled to line up the exhaust tip height. However, they are still off. The only other option it to slightly enlarge one hole on both sides to have the exhaust turn just that slight bit to make them the same height off the ground.
Please, open to any ideas. Nothing appears to be bent and I am off just under a 1/2 inch total, drivers side up too high, pass side down too low.
I thought I saw a thead weeks ago, but turned up nothing in a search today. Any feedback would be great. Thanks guys..
i had the same problem on my 98, i was goin to enlarge the holes but i just waited until i removed the cats. i made the needed adjustments before welding back together
Thanks guys.. I kinda did 2 things. Tried the twist, worked alittle. Then I took 1 bolt from each side, and slightly machined down the threads just under the bolt head, width of the flange thickness. This gave me about .020 of added travel at the flange, but due to the lenght of the pipes the movement was multiplied alot by the time it reached the tips. So, its all good now.. Thanks again for all the info..
