Just found them on West Coast Corvettes but I really don't think I would use it enough for the price.
I own a hard top (not a smoothline) and I only use it for racing. The soft top does fine in the NY winters and having the hard top means having the soft top down and taking up extra trunk space.
i agree too, but i love the way the c5 looks with the hardtop, and still being able to go for a top down cruise. i might looked for a used one or something, but i do agree not very practical for $3,500
I own a smooth line and love the look of it instead of having the soft top up. It can be done with 1 person, but 2 is best due to its size (not weight). The attachments are nice and sturdy, and can be installed or removed in 5 mins or less. I could use new weather stripping for around the rear window, but thats not a huge deal Im very happy with it
Am I missing something, or was there not a post from someone at Smoothline, a summer sale on their C5 hardtop for $2K? I thought I saw it in this thread. I did a search last night and could not find it anywhere. Does anyone know about this?
thanks,
john

that looks sweet. best of both worlds.....a droptop and an frc/z06 look.
Don't forget the Carvaggio option. It won't be any cheaper, but might broaden your search options if/when looking for a used one.
You guys might want to check out Smoothline. I just orderer one yesterday at an amazing price. Some updates to the original design include a much larger rear window, now real safety glass, and denser headliner material to supress outside noise. Give them a call.

I am not sure how the smoothline is shipped, but my caravaggio top required assembly as well as paint.
The brackets, latches and headliner as well as mount points on the car had to be installed. That will add to the cost of the caravaggio unless you do it yourself.
Finding one used is tough as they don't go up for sale very often. I've already had people tell me to keep them in mind if I ever sell it (which I will once I get a rollbar put in my vert)
