Default Another headlight motor problem

Ok here is the situation. Ive already replaced both gears with the brass gears. That worked great undtil about a week ago when the passenger side didnt come up at all. Well I checked it out a few days ago and the epoxy had broken off and the cap was loose, so the gear wasnt working correctly. Well I took it out yesterday and fixed it, put new epoxy on it that claimed on the package works with hard plastic. Went out this morning to check it again, turned on the headlights, they both came up but noticed the epoxy seal was broken again, that was after a 24 hour dry time. Is there any way to get it to stay sealed? Thanks in advance.

Use 5200 Marine, white stuff in a tube. Boaters World and other marine suppliers have it. Takes a while to set but it will not come apart again. I replaced both of my motors 4 years ago with GM Parts direct motors. Still working good.

I had the same issue - epoxy just wouldn't hold. I ended up drilling very small diameter holes all around the perimeter, and twist wired the thing back together. Hasn't budged in many months.

Try JB WELD on it. The problem with the epoxy is that it isn't flexible. Any movement will create a crack in it. Also, the marine silicone works great on things like this.

Did you use the ones from RodneyDickman.com that have the brace? I did both mine a year ago and have not had any problems.
