C5 **** won't fit. Gene Culley sells the **** and retaining screw with the shifter.

Color should be perfect match.

I wasn't sure if it was that short in a C5 or not. I have yet to see a good pic of the C6 Z06 shifter in a C5.

I just ordered the same shifter kit, and am wondering how it's going to look also....

IF it looks too bad, I'll just have to keep reminding myself every now and then .....how BAD the C5 shifter was!!!

Matt,

The pic from FRCTony is the way the C6Z shifter looks in the C5 using the stock boot. I got a shorter boot made for this conversion from Vette Essentials. $55 plus shipping. Don

OK, gotcha. I'll see how well I do with the stock boot...I may be giving them a call .

I have installed the C6 - Z06 Shifter in my 03 Vert (non anniversary color) The shifter is better than the stock C5 but the C6 **** is a slightly off shade of black than the original C5 ****. Not really noticeable unless you compare up close.

Using your existing boot will work when you use the new C6 **** but you will have to fiddle with getting it over the new retaining screw that the C6 **** uses.
