Damn fuel leak..........

As I have read on here before.......sometimes after ~10 years the o-rings on GMs stupid plastic fuel connectors leak, I could see that was my issue on the outlet side of the fuel filter. When I had the drivelline out I said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"...not leak and it looked good, I didn't touch it... Well........oh,well
Its a PITA to get to with 3" exhaust.....
Jacked it up, dropped the rear sway bar, took off the DS exhaust cat-back

The inlet side has a green rag in it, the outlet a clear plug you can just see to the left of the shield bolt.......

I didn't think a 97' fuel filter would be hard to find............NAPA was the only one, so I put it on for $14.95. No bracket, but I think between the heat and vibration of mouting to the frame.......that makes them leak.

Put in on, started it with one open exhaust
...no leaks. All back together and seems fine.
I will take the leak today though................sure beats a leak at the track
Mine started leaking also (1998). The bolt holding bracket fell off, I had to expoxy it to frame! I used a GM replacement fuel filter.
BTW, the MN6's are easier to get to.
Is the NAPA made of metal? It doesn't look like the one end has a plastic lock fitting, what gives?
