where is rear knock sensor?

where is rear knock sensor?

Anyone have any pictures of the knock sensor and how to remove it. Search did not come up with any pictures, just why it may have gone bad. Thanks for help.

It is under your intake manifold.

The knock sensors are located under the intake manifold. There is a front one and a rear one.

Gotta pull your intake manifold and the valley cover.

Not to bad of a job, probably a couple of hours.

No problem, just got lucky and saw another post that someone had posted up some pictures.

I can't get anyone to help me and I am always to dirty to take pictures myself. I just pulled off the maggie on my 2001 coupe and re-installed the factory manifold and all of the connections.

It's not to bad of a job, just becareful to hook up the rear vaccum lines or you'll HVAC vents will be all screwed up.

While you're in there use some red RTV and seal the knock sensors so you can wash your motor w/o fear of water getting in them and corroding them. I did it when I installed my cam.
