Default Tech info needed- Z06 upgrades?

Hi all.. need some general info..
purchased my 00MY coupe a couple of years ago, and was thinking of some performance upgrades..
Are the Z06 brakes, suspension, sway bars better and how so..Larger calipers & rotors?? Thicker say bars?? Higher rated spring/shocks?
thanks..

I'll give this a shot.

Im not the best witht he vette stuff yet, so I'll give you info on what I know. I know the Z06 does have upgrades in suspesion over a normal Coupe. I believe the shocks are different, Im not positive on the sway bars thickness. I also think the brake rotors are the same size with both vehicles.

Unless you are getting parts from a Z51 car with the fully upgraded suspension, Only then would I htink all might be differnt. Dont hold to this though.

Check out this web site, some good info. But why go to the bother of Z06 parts? Not much of a difference.

true, they arnt. But they are a good price. Brakes and rotors are the same. Shocks are a bit stiffer. 04's are the best. and sway bars are a decent improvment over stock. cant beat 220 shipped with new end links and bushings

Default Z51 coupe

My car has the Z51 package...
so basically the expense/effort is not worth it as it may be a nominal upgrade at best???

The Z06 front sway will make a difference, your rear sway is the same as a Z06. There is only about 10% difference in your rear spring and a Z06 and the front spring is the same. Do the front bar now and some C6Z06 shocks now or later. Been there - done all this.
