Default check engine light
I have a 99 c5 and I have a check engine light on all the time. The service engine soon display shows up every once in a while, while I am driving. I checked to see what the code was and it said I have an EMISSIONS EVAPORTION LEAK. Now I have talked to some people and they all tell me to see if my gas cap was on tight. I have done this and it is fine. Is there anything that I could visiually see to help me with this problem. ANY HELP PLEASE.

Could be several things. I would look at the vacuum hoses from the engine to the evap canister 1st. Probably one is cracked and leaking.

where is the evaporator canister located?

Did you reset the code and it came back after tightening your gas cap?
